How did you come to Tribe?
After recently moving to Portobello, my fiancée and I were just walking around exploring the neighbourhood on a lovely sunny day when we came across Tribe Porty. There were a bunch of people sitting outside on the picnic tables with coffees and laptops and so we actually thought it was a nice café at first. So, without reading the Tribe sign properly, we entered and asked at the front desk if we could have two oat flat whites . Suffice to say we were promptly brought up to speed on what Tribe Porty was, and we left excited by the prospect of joining the community.
What makes you smile?
Banter with friends and family, a board game session, lunchtime walks by the beach, and all things Mexican cuisine are a few go-tos. Most of all though, heading out into the mountains always brings me a big smile, especially when atop a Munro or hiking along a ridge (though maybe a little less so when the views are traded for heavy rain and strong winds.)
What do you like about Tribe most?
Everyone at Tribe has been very welcoming and it’s been easy to feel part of the community from the get-go. It’s always great talking to people who work in such a variety of fields and with a variety of interests and hobbies.
What are you working on right now?
IBeing in a geospatial team in an environmental consultancy means the type of projects are ever-changing and varied. Currently though, two big focuses have been on monitoring coastal change of the UK’s coastline as well as working with the UK’s numerous water & wastewater companies to address their many issues, such as reducing their environmental impact and improving water quality.
