Absolutely not, we are not that kind of community. All very welcome.
What are the hours?
830am-530pm Monday- Friday.
What if I want to hold a workshop or talk?
We love to support a workshop or event and members get discounts on renting out space. There is a good network of members and followers to tap into. Talk to our team to find out more.
Do I have to book the day and time?
Nope, we value flexibility and so do our members.
Is there bike storage?
Yes, we have a bike shed in the front yard space. We recently installed a security camera for extra peace of mind.
Can I check out the space before I pay?
Yes! We offer a free tour and a chance to pay for the day if you still aren't sure or want to test it out before becoming a member.
Where do I take phone calls?
We have a private meeting space which can be booked a week in advance.
We also have three phone booths which are bookable on the day. Whilst they are private spaces they are not completly soundproof. You are also welcome to use our outside spaces for calls and reception.
These spaces are sometimes in high demand. We kindly ask coworkers not spend more than 1.5 hours in the call booths at a time.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes but we only allow members to bring along a dog.
You must read and agree to our Dog Coworking Policy before bringing along your pooch. We have a three strike policy, if your dog breaks rules repeatedly you will be asked to no longer bring them in.
Can I bring my kid?
People come here to work so focused time is key, however, it has been done where kids sit and read for a wee while if necessary. We support the working parent and know sometimes things come up.

No, days are per month.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is on street parking and accessible parking at the front.

Is Tribe wheelchair accessible?
We’re committed to making Tribe as welcoming and accessible as possible. We’ve carried out an accessibility audit to help us better meet a variety of needs, including considerations around lighting, sound, sensory input, and how we communicate.
Our ground floor is step-free and includes an accessible toilet. We also have a chair lift to access the upper floor, though please note that we do not have a full lift.
If you have specific access needs or questions, please do get in touch, we’re always open to learning and adapting to support everyone in our community, including those with long term or chronic illness.
Is it okay to come and go during the day?
Absolutely. As a coworking member, you’re free to come and go as you need during your access hours. Pop out for a swim or coffee, we can keep your belongings safe and be here when you get back. In fact, a lunchtime walk on the promenade or afternoon paddle board meeting is recommended.
Do you offer trial days or discounts for locals?
We offer a one-day pass so you can try the space before committing. If you sign up for a monthly membership within 30 days, we’ll credit your day pass toward your first invoice. Members also receive a Perks card which give you discounts to local eating establishments. We’re proud to be rooted in Portobello, and love welcoming locals!
