We are a community coworking and creative events space based in Edinburgh. To be more precise, we are based in the community of Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. We are a collection of social entrepreneurs, freelancers, charities, SMEs and enterprises. From photographers to translators, graphic designers to environmental consultants, we have over 100 members and provide office, studios, permanent desk and hot desking. Tribe is big on building community and believes that a nurturing environment which sparks creativity and collaboration is good for business, individuals and communities. At Tribe, you will also find a strong community of female run enterprises through our partner, Keystone, as well as The Edinburgh Tool Library, Velow Bikeworks, Portobello Natural Health, Sodak, The Pilates Studio Edinburgh and more. Tribe Porty is proudly a social enterprise.
We’ve carried out a risk assessment and put new procedures in place to keep everyone safe and give all our members the confidence they need to come back to Tribe. If you have any questions or concerns please speak to Dani, Melissa, Debbie, Serena or Hannah. For our our latest Covid secure risk assessment please see here. For more information and FAQs see here.
Although this labour of love building would still be cool on its own, the folk who use it really do make it extra special. We all share a creative approach to life and work and sign up to the give and take culture of Tribe. We all have something important to give and we all need each other, eventually. It is a place to connect, be productive and get inspired.
Our holistic approach combines world-class teaching with wellness rituals, powered by a nurturing community to help you and your business thrive. Keystone pairs vital business skills with courses, rituals and coaching circles to discover what drives, inspires and energises you.
We run 4 cohorts a year, check out our website for more information and how to join the community.
We are now in level 2 and open for safe coworking with physical distancing and mask wearing when up and about. We are limiting the number of hotdesking places and presently do not require advance booking.
We have installed more power points in reception for laptops and there is also a hot desk table upstairs if the main space is full. It is great to welcome some new members and see existing members back. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
From July 2021, the Gather Room will be able to accommodate multiple kinds of meetings, classes, workshops, and photo/video shoots. The space will have capacity for approximately 25 people (during non Covid restrictions) and is equipped with a large touchscreen smart monitor, webcam, speakers and microphones for virtual connection ease.
See the coworking page for rates and our new Community membership package.
