We are a community coworking and creative events space based in Edinburgh. To be more precise, we are based in the community of Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. We are a collection of social entrepreneurs, freelancers, charities, SMEs and enterprises. From photographers to translators, graphic designers to environmental consultants, we have over 140 members and provide office, studios, permanent desk and hot desking. Tribe is big on building community and believes that a nurturing environment which sparks creativity and collaboration is good for business, individuals and communities. At Tribe, you will also find a strong community of female run enterprises through our partner, Keystone, as well as The Edinburgh Tool Library, Velow Bikeworks, Portobello Natural Health, Sodak, The Pilates Studio Edinburgh and more. Tribe Porty is proudly a social enterprise.
Our next Tribe Talks features Tribe Porty Member, Markus Stitz. Join us on the 22nd September celebrating his latest publication, Great British Gravel Rides. Joining Markus, will also be James Robertson, he will also be showcasing his newest publication, It’s A Race. Find out more by following the link.

What do you like about Tribe the most?
It’s a relaxed and casual place, with really inspiring people around me. I can be introvert at times, but mostly I am the most creative when I have friends around me. Tribe doesn’t feel like an office, I come here every time really looking forward to meeting others and have a nice cup of coffee.
What makes you smile?
I smile a lot; life is much nicer with a smile. A few things that make me smile are being in the company of passionate and nice people, finishing ridiculous cycling races and expeditions, listening to a great song I haven’t heard for a while.
Ever wanted to come into Tribe Porty but not felt like you had a reason to? This year we’re taking part in our first ever Doors Open Day. Book yourself in for a tour of our building, find out about the exciting projects our members are a part of and discover some of their publications, films and photographs.
