We are a community coworking and creative events space based in Edinburgh. To be more precise, we are based in the community of Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. We are a collection of social entrepreneurs, freelancers, charities, SMEs and enterprises. From photographers to translators, graphic designers to environmental consultants, we have over 140 members and provide office, studios, permanent desk and hot desking. Tribe is big on building community and believes that a nurturing environment which sparks creativity and collaboration is good for business, individuals and communities. At Tribe, you will also find a strong community of female run enterprises through our partner, Keystone, as well as The Edinburgh Tool Library, Velow Bikeworks, Portobello Natural Health, Sodak, The Pilates Studio Edinburgh and more. Tribe Porty is proudly a social enterprise.

Our Annual Report gave us not only a chance to look ahead, but reflect and ensure we are driving our manifesto forward.
We will continue to be a community for people to just be or to express their needs, challenges and dreams. Our door is always open and we have had countless conversations about life, loss, loneliness and hopes. Tribe provides a space for light connections as well as deep conversations; both which are often lifelines for people.

Through group coaching and a thoughtful programme of business and personal development, you will find a better working life.
What do you like about Tribe the most?
That you can float plans/ideas and someone is normally up for joining or helping you.The oat milk collective.
That it’s much warmer than my home.
What makes you smile and what do you do here?
Hatching plans with fellow coworkers. Community and kindness but I know that sounds naff and (in)appropriate GIF usage. Currently setting up for the Scottish Portrait Awards.
Our podcast connects us through conversations about how we craft our working lives and make progress. We will be joined by our communities from Tribe Porty & Keystone to elicit generative dialogue to help us all find our communities, act out our values and make progress for ourselves and for the world.
