We are a community coworking and creative events space based in Edinburgh. To be more precise, we are based in the community of Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. We are a collection of social entrepreneurs, freelancers, charities, SMEs and enterprises. From photographers to translators, graphic designers to environmental consultants, we have over 100 members and provide office, studios, permanent desk and hot desking. Tribe is big on building community and believes that a nurturing environment which sparks creativity and collaboration is good for business, individuals and communities. At Tribe, you will also find a strong community of female run enterprises through our partner, Tribe Women, as well as The Edinburgh Tool Library, Velow Bikeworks, Portobello Natural Health, Sodak, The Pilates Studio Edinburgh and more. Tribe Porty is proudly a social enterprise.
It’s very quiet here at Tribe and we can’t wait to see everyone back but in your own time. We’ve carried out a risk assessment and put new procedures in place to keep everyone safe and give all our members the confidence they need to come back to Tribe. Although this labour of love building would still be cool on its own, the folk who use it really do make it extra special. We all share a creative approach to life and work and sign up to the give and take culture of Tribe. We all have something important to give and we all need each other, eventually. It is a place to connect, be productive and get inspired.

Jo’s latest venture is 20 Photos, where she curates your photos into a story that is beautiful and meaningful, and printed- the medium that lasts forever. Each month there are a limited number of slots, to find out more, check out the above website.
Welcome to 2021. In this current lockdown we are keeping the building open for existing members only, who need to access their workspaces. Building tours and trials are on hold for now but we look forward to welcoming new members when restrictions allow. If you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We are adapting to support changing needs, and have decided to change the White Hall and create the Gather Room.
From 2021, the Gather Room will be able to accommodate multiple kinds of meetings, groups, and workshops, photo and video shoots. The space will have capacity for approximately 15 people (during non Covid restrictions) and will be equipped with a large monitor, webcam, speakers and microphones for virtual connection ease.
