How did you come to Tribe?
I had come across Tribe through a mix of friends involved in Tribe Porty, attending classes with organisations in the building and the inspiring work of Edinburgh Tool Library. The space is fantastic and has such a great atmosphere, so when I was looking for a co-working space for my freelance design work it was a natural first choice.
What makes you smile?
Bike rides, climbing adventures, playing guitar, time spent with family and friends, bad jokes, and designing and making things!
What do you like about Tribe most?
The space is beautifully designed, with a host of lovely people working here, a welcoming atmosphere and is only a short lunchtime meander from the sea.
What are you working on right now?
I am currently working on a mix of freelance design and illustration commissions – usually with an architectural, urban design, active travel or placemaking focus given my background and expertise. I am also working with Connected Places Catapult on an urban design PhD at University of Edinburgh using service design, UX design and design thinking approaches to overcome barriers to design and delivery of greener, more people-friendly public spaces in practice.
