How did you come to Tribe?

I was looking for desk space after a year or so of working from home and finding it wasn’t really working for me. I found Tribe, which was absolutely perfect in terms of location, and then I discovered all sorts of friends already worked here!

What makes you smile?

Portobello beach makes me smile – there’s not much better than sitting on the prom on a crisp day, especially with a bagel or a bag of chips! There’s usually a good dog or two to check out, and Porty’s so small you normally run into someone you know!

What do you like about Tribe most?

Tribe has a great atmosphere. There’s always lots of interesting people about and things going on. It’s such a great alternative to working from home on your own. The garden is also really nice now (on the rare days it’s warm enough to sit outside!).

What are you working on right now?

I am focusing on portrait illustration at the moment. I have a number of regular clients, including GitPrime, a software company in Colorado. I make portraits for them which they use on their blog and other marketing.

I’m also always available for private portrait commissions. They make great presents for Christmas or whatever! (I can even draw pets and/ or babies!)

I am also involved with CreativeMornings Edinburgh, which is a really great free monthly networking event run by a team of volunteers.
