How did you come to Tribe?
Initially, I came to Tribe for Sabrina’s Pilates classes. I joined Tribe Women in 2018 and started hot-desking this year to do admin for my photography practice, course development for Edinburgh University and to set up Portobello Photography School with classes running at Tribe. When I’m hot-desking I do admin for my freelance photography business and course development, writing new photography courses for the University of Edinburgh where I’m a Teaching Fellow in Photography.
What is your ‘job title”?
Photographer and photography tutor. I’m a Teaching Fellow and Lecturer at Edinburgh Uni & eca.
What makes you smile?
My daughter, the beach, big skies, a decent gig and seeing anyone setting out to make positive social change.
What do you like about Tribe most?
The mix of folk independently and collectively doing remarkable things all sat around one (very beautiful) table, the endless supply of caffeine, access to secluded outdoor working space, the location and the beautiful venue thanks to Dani’s amazing vision. I also love all of the dogs.
What are you working on right now?
Completing several photographic commissions for installation in the new East Lothian Community Hospital. Running Portobello Photography School, currently as one-day thematic workshops and masterclasses and programming future classes. Various long and short-term photography commissions.
