We invited Machina into Tribe Porty to host a cupping exclusively for our Tribe Members. \nDue to a limited capacity\, you’ll need to book a free ticket to access this event. \nJoin us on Tuesday\, 2nd December for a festive cupping and taste the coffees in our range. If you’ve never been to one before\, think of it like a wine tasting\, but for coffee. \nWe’ll guide you through the basics of cupping – the method coffee professionals use to explore flavour – while tasting coffees from different origins and roast styles\, including our seasonal release. \nThis is a relaxed\, welcoming session for anyone who wants to taste and learn more\, wherever you are in your coffee journey.

DESCRIPTION:The Dead Curious Cafe at Tribe Porty \nOpen conversations around death and dying are often confined to the realms of bad news\, frequently in a medical environment\, when the conversation becomes unavoidable. \nThere is merit in normalising the subject of death to open up a wider perspective on the important aspects of living our best life. Many people avoid thinking about death\, which can create fear and discomfort. Open discussions help normalise death\, making it less of a taboo and allowing people to approach it with more acceptance and peace. \nJoin us for a series of interactive talks at the Dead Curious Cafe where we will explore our attitudes towards\, and our relationship with death. \nThis is a safe and nurturing environment\, where participation is encouraged\, and mutual respect is a given. \nYour facilitator is Loretta Dunn\, a Life Celebrant and retired nurse\, with many years of experience working with bereaved families and people at the end of life. \nThis is pay-what-you-can event\, suggested donation is £5. \nAbout Loretta \nLoretta Dunn is a life celebrant and death doula\, with a special interest in living well and dying well. Her journey so far has included a long career in nursing and midwifery\, she is a member of The Institute for the Study of Birth\, Breath and Death\, and an EASE Facilitator (end of life aid skills for everyone) with the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care. She is passionate about bringing death out of the shadows as a means of helping us to live our best life in the present moment. \nCompassion and love are at the heart of her work. \nThe evening will be safe and relaxed environment for sharing and exploring a deeper understanding of spiritual wellbeing for living well to die well. \nLove has triumphed from the enfoldment of my inner circle—my closest friends and family. Engaging in open conversations about life and death has woven tighter bonds among us. Death\, a shared human experience often wrapped in silence\, has become a pivotal topic of our discussions. SUMMARY:Christmas Wreath Workshops Portobello
DESCRIPTION:A cosy\, creative workshop where you’ll learn how to craft beautiful\, seasonal Christmas wreaths using only sustainable techniques and UK-grown foliage and dried flowers. Guided by Holly\, you’ll learn traditional techniques\, explore natural textures\, and create a unique design to take home. Every element we use is kind to the planet\, biodegradable\, and free from floral foam or plastic. \nA glass of fizz (or non alcoholic alternative) and festive treats will be provided and you’re welcome to BYOB if you would like more than that! \nEach workshop lasts roughly 2 hours with all materials provided\, and I will be on hand for guidance the whole time. Over 16s only. \nTickets are £65 per person to make one wreath. Tickets are non-refundable.
