An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until 10th October 2019
Join us for 6 block weekly 90min workshop-style Yoga classes on Thursdays @TribePorty 7:30-9pm
In these classes, we’ll explore the practice of Yoga postures and beyond to the heart of Yoga. You’ll gain insight into not only the how’s but more importantly the why’s of what we’re doing.
These are the classes where you’ll have the time to ask questions, experiment with postures, variations and props. Learn to work with limitations or injuries and learn about what Yoga is best for your body and constitution and what that relates to.
You’ll have the time to explore sensations all the while gaining greater depth and understanding of 3 important aspects of Yoga practice, your breath, your body and your space both outside and within.
Take from here what you learn and develop your home practice or apply to classes you take during the week.
These are classes for all levels and every class will be different with a different focus. If you’re a beginner, you’ll gain a strong base to build upon.
If you’re a seasoned practitioner or even a Yoga teacher, maybe you’ll gain greater insight or learn a different approach to practising or teaching.
There will be mats and limited straps and blocks. You are encouraged to bring your own props. Why? Commitment.
The more you learn to work with them and use them, the more they become friends you respect and cherish. A yoga belt is always a handy thing to have on you especially if you work at a desk…why?
Come to class and learn why! You will learn how to take your Yoga off the mat and into your life.
Classes will run for 6wk blocks at £15 per drop-in class or £13 for Tribe Porty members. First block 5/9 – 10/10
Again, these are workshop-style classes so we’ll work hard and dig deep!
Clara is an experienced Yoga teacher holding her 200hr in Traditional Hatha Yoga and her 300hr in Restorative Yoga Therapy. She also runs successful massage clinics in Edinburgh specialising in therapeutic Thai bodywork. Her teaching style is simple and her heartfelt goal is to get people thinking, moving, feeling and discovering. She is known to challenge dogma and orthodox ways encouraging practitioners to gain insight into the most important aspect of Yoga, themselves. Her truest belief is that we do not fit the pose, the pose fits us. The pose does not exist if we do not create it. To create something we need awareness, insight, creativity and courage…we need Yoga. A good class is when you leave with more questions than when you arrived!!
