How did you come to Tribe?

I started at Tribe pretty much at the same time as Dani when Tribe Porty was launched exactly on my Birthday 18th May 2015. I was looking for a venue where I could have a room to teach sessions with the Joseph Pilates Apparatus and have a hall for the Mat Pilates sessions on the same floor/space. Tribe made all this possible.

What makes you smile?

Pretty much everything that I am grateful as well as: living a healthy life, creating a change in people’s lifestyle and body shapes through my everyday work; when my son plays me a song on his guitar; seeing people being kind and reciprocal to one another effortlessly; singing out loud and dancing “on the table”.

What do you like about Tribe most?

What I really like about Tribe mostly is the fact that it is a Social Enterprise, where we continue to raise our individual businesses’ profile amongst others. It feels great to be part of a place to work where its primarily social objectives and surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the Social Enterprise business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners.

What are you working on right now?

Right now I am working on my self-professional development, where I am undertaking a thorough Pilates Method of training called “Romana’s Pilates”, meaning that I am becoming a fully comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher.
