Rajadhiraja Yoga was systematised by Shiva over 7,000 years ago, reclassified by Patanajali 2,100 years ago into Ashtanga Yoga (8-Limbed yoga – not be confused with ‘Ashtanga vinyasa’ yoga) and revived by Shrii Shrii Anandamukti (1921-1990). “Raja” means royal, literally “yoga for the King of Kings’, implying that the yogi never allows himself be subjected by anyone. Rajadhiraja yoga is the most complete system available for the development of the body, mind and spirit with the original 8-Limb system at the heart of the practice along with techniques of the old system and some modern additions. The full practice includes asanas, pranayama, mantra, mudra, meditation, dance, self-massage, and cleansing techniques.
