Embodied Spirituality engages our physicality to consider our inner being, the spirit that dwells in each of us.

These reflective movement sessions incorporate mindfulness practices and draw on somatic dance principles. Each session guides participants to become more self aware, making outward space for their inner reality.

This session will introduce participants to the ideas and practice of Embodied Spirituality, including:

movement prayer

conscious posture

and free physical expression

NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE NEEDED.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Socks can be worn for some exercises, but we’ll remove them for others.
  • Water. The session won’t be physically demanding, but water is always good to have!
  • Often it is helpful to record and reflect on movement experiences. You may want to bring a journal and pen with you.
