Feminist Embroidery with Frieda Ford
Come along to the series of two Saturday embroidery workshops. Open to all levels and ages and held in the beautiful seaside town of Portobello. £20 is for both sessions, if you can’t attend both then you can still learn a lot from just the one!
You can learn many new embroidery stitches and techniques while discussing feminism in a safe and positive space, or maybe you’re already an expert and just want to come along to embroider in a new and interesting space. The workshops lead up to international woman’s week when you will have the chance to showcase your work.
All materials and tools are included. However, up-cycling is encouraged so if you have any old clothes you could embroider into or even just some fabric you’ve seen and loved then bring it along!
Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included, so all you need to bring is creativity, enthusiasm and an open mind!
