FIND YOUR VOICE info.

Do you freeze up at the thought of speaking in front of a group?

Perhaps you’re not fazed by an audience but you would really like to hone your skills in order to fully engage your listeners.

Do you think far too long before you speak, never mind act?

Perhaps you are an actor at the beginning of your journey and would like to work with an experienced actor and director to gain confidence, work on texts and learn technical tips to fuel and colour your performance.

Over the course of 10 sessions you will learn how to be in the moment, think on your feet, engage your audience and also learn technical voice and body skills to enable you to present any text to an audience. I will teach you how to interpret text in a way that supports your performance. And I mean ANY text, from Powerpoint to Pinter.

I am a classically trained actor and director (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Acting BA), with 20 years experience in film, tv, radio and theatre.  I am also an artistic director of Tribe Porty Youth Theatre LTD.

I passionately believe that practicing drama can unlock peoples’s creativity, intuition and confidence.

I will use my knowledge and training as an actor to form the bases of my teaching.

I will use improvisation, drama games, text work and technical voice training to support the work.

The important thing to remember is that EVERYONE is nervous about performing in front of an audience, even actors.

I will teach you ways to harness those nerves and tool you up with tactics and techniques to let your performances fly.
